Could be the Hottest Summer in Years and Soils will be Shrinking!

Throughout my forty-year career, I've specialized in addressing various foundation issues, with hot and dry summers posing significant challenges. Here's a clearer breakdown: Assuming your drainage is working well and there are no plumbing leaks or excess moisture under your slab, or in your crawlspace, the risk of major cracks or shifts in your residential or commercial property this summer is low.
However, if your drainage system is poor, causing water to pool near your home, or if there's a leak in your plumbing, pool, or sprinkler system, foundation movement becomes more likely. As intense heat causes the soil around your foundation to contract, varying degrees of shifting can occur. The extent of this movement and any resulting damage depends on soil swelling under your foundation and shrinkage around the perimeter beam.
It's important to note that foundation repair companies often push piers as a solution, which may not always be optimal or feasible.
Rest assured; I have the expertise to offer a solution tailored to your needs. I operate on a "no help, no pay" basis, meaning if I can't help, you won't incur any charges for my services.

Pressure tends to build up around and under slab foundations as the soil swells from the induction of water pulled in by capillary or wicking action. As the pressure increases to a certain point, areas of the foundation will be moved/lifted above grade. As the soil swells the slab will tend to dome. When the weather heats up to include multiple 100-degree days moisture is pulled from the outside of the perimeter foundation and minor contraction of the soils will take place sometimes causing cracks to appear. This is magnified due to the domed floor. If moisture under the slab was not lifted the center the structure would not likely deflect to the point of causing the doors and window frames to warp and cracks to appear.
I can help you to prevent, stop and usually reverse the movement without the use of piers. Piers are expensive and often not the answer to foundation movement.
Remember foundation companies sell piers while I provide solutions.
